Abby Library Associate Years At The Library: It’ll be 4 years in May! Favorite Book: The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde Currently Reading: The Art of Crying: The Healing Power of Tears by Pepita Sandwich About Me: Meet The Staff I would like to start by expressing my appreciation for the Pataskala Library. To be working here is a dream come true for the little kid who just loved books and reading so much. I started my job at PPL as a clerk in May of 2021 after I graduated from WMHS here in Pataskala. While working, I was going to school at OSU Newark to get my bachelor’s degree in English. In 2024, I graduated with my bachelor’s degree that I had completed in three years. Currently, I am attending Kent State University to get my Master’s degree in Library and Information Science and I am now working as the Communications Library Associate. After graduating high school, I had no idea what I wanted to do for a career. All I knew was that I loved literature and wanted my career heavily integrated with that subject. I know now that the library is (and always has been) the place for me. After work and school responsibilities, I am most likely to be found in the company of loved ones or spending my time antique shopping and thrifting. If I am feeling creative, I love to craft, draw, design, doodle, paint, and write whatever my imagination can come up with. I also enjoy being outdoors experiencing nature and wildlife taking place all around me. Tantamount to my introduction, I would like to conclude my blurb by showing my appreciation to the two people who have always encouraged and supported my passions: mom and dad. Thank you for instilling in me a forever love of books because it got me to where I am today. If you made it to the end, take this as your sign to go out and browse the stacks for your new favorite book :)
