About Me: To be working at the Pataskala Public Library is a full circle moment. It was when I was little visiting this building (or an earlier configuration of it) that I decided it would be nice to be a librarian. I grew up in Pataskala, the youngest of five girls. My twin sister, Jackie, and I spent so much of our childhood in this library borrowing books or working on school assignments. There was a phase when I repeatedly checked out The Wizard of Oz just to look through the pages and admire the illustrations. I graduated from Watkins Memorial, then The Ohio State University with a degree in English, then Kent State University with a Masters degree in Library Science. I worked in Columbus for several years at The Ohio History Center in the Library/Archives with The Ohio Newspaper Project, and The Ohio State University Archives before marrying my husband David and moving back to Pataskala. We have Erick and Allison who are both students at The Ohio State University. We enjoy travel, football, and brownies. And now, here I am, where I started. I began as a part-time clerk but am now very happy to be a Library Assistant. And, with one of my tasks being to process new books and other materials to get them ready for circulation, I still enjoy occasionally looking through the pages and admiring the illustrations.
