About Me: I joyfully retired March 31, 2012, after 37 years in banking with National City Bank (now PNC) and Chase Bank. On January 14, 2013, I officially ‘unretired’ and began my career with Pataskala Public Library. My husband, who is also retired, took my decision to return to work personally. To say I love my job is an understatement! When I initially applied for a part-time evening clerk position, I had also applied with two other local businesses. I was thrilled when I was offered a position at the library and jumped at the chance. After so many years working in a high stress job, this was and still is my dream job. Over the last 11.5 years, I have worked my way up from that PT clerk to being the Patron Services Manager. Outside the library, I have been married to Michael for over 47 years. I have a son, daughter-in-law, grandson, and multiple grand pups. We love to camp and recently purchased a motorhome to visit several of our RV spots. I am an avid reader and bring home stacks of library material daily to read, listen to, and watch much to my husband’s dismay. I tell him it could be worse. I could work at a jewelry store! A fun fact I love to share is that I am number five of ten children. Yep, the dreaded middle child raised in a 1200 sq ft home with one bathroom where patience was the name of the game. With five girls and five boys, there was always an even battlefield. My extended family is now scattered, and I am lucky to see a few during the holidays. Pataskala has been our home for 27 years. I love to see patrons that have become friends in the community. And, I will always love my library.
